Born in Cleveland to Carlos and Emma Ruiz, Margarita lived a life defined by love, compassion, and a deep commitment to doing what is right.
She graduated from Stetson Law School and practiced law for 12 years.
She later became a college professor and taught legal studies for 20 years to thousands of students. Many of them have gone on to become attorneys and credit her as their inspiration.
After retiring, Margarita followed her heart and began her third and most fulfilling career - farming. A life long animal lover, she raised Scottish Highlands for show and built a farm she was so proud of.
She had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel, visiting over 20 countries and embracing the beauty the world has to offer.
Above all, Margarita cherished her family. Her grandson James called her his best friend, made his grandmother laugh out loud, and loved her with all of his heart - and she loved him with all of hers.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, Rob Koblasz; her daughters, Catya Conod, Tabitha Koblasz, and Elyssa Koblasz; her cherished grandson, James Sada; he father Carols Ruiz and his wife, Luisa Ruiz; her brothers Juan Ruiz and Carlos Ruiz; and her sister Arianna Ruiz-Ketelsen. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Ruiz.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 5000 CR 46A, Sanford, Florida 32771.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Rd, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 with interment following in Oaklawn Park Cemetery, 5000 CR 46A, Sanford, Florida 32771.
She will be remembered as someone who tried to do right and left the world a better place.
In lieu of flowers, Margarita requested that donations be made in her honor to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
