Mary Ann Germain

Mary Ann Germain, (63), of Sanford, FL went to be with the Lord, September 5, 2015, with her family and friends by her side. MaryAnn is survived by her mother, Eleanor Germain of Longwood, FL; and her siblings Patricia Germain Wyatt (Chad), Larry Germain (Trisha), Betsy Germain Reilly (Dave), Michaela Germain (Steve), and Dennis Germain (Florita) along with her nephews Larry Germain II, Brant Germain (Erin) and niece Tracie Holden (Nick). MaryAnn was Mimi to Anna, Morgan, Owen, Wyatt, MacKenly, Andrew, and Lucas. She is preceded in death by her father Russell Germain and her sister Darlene Marie Germain. She was born on September 14, 1951 in the Panama Canal Zone to Russell and Eleanor Germain. Mary Ann attended All Souls Parochial School and graduated from Seminole High School in 1969. She received her BA in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. Mary Ann taught at Pine Crest Elementary in Sanford, FL for 38 years before retiring in 2009. She was honored with the Teacher of the Year award, mentored many new teachers, and made a life long impact on the hundreds of students she loved and taught. Teachers affect eternity and her lessons will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. A celebration of Mary Ann’s life is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM at All Souls Historic Chapel, 800 South Oak Avenue, Sanford, FL 32771. A reception will follow at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, FL 32771.
