Maxine Wilkerson Thomas died, Wednesday February 24, 2016. Mrs. Thomas was the wife of the late Otto Thomas, Founder of Otto’s Barber Styling of Sanford. The most important things in her life were her family and her God. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Sanford. She served in leadership of the Women’s Missionary Union, Sunday School Teacher, and participated in many youth programs and activities. She is survived by her son, John O. Thomas of Lake Mary; her daughter Dr. Janet T. Parker and her son-in-law John B. Parker of Maryville, TN; Three Brothers: Mason Wilkerson and Fred Wilkerson of Trenton; Leon Wilkerson and sister-in-law Carrie Wilkerson and their children Matthew and Jessica Wilkerson of Debary; and two granddaughters Rachel and Ellyn Thomas of Tennessee. Our heartfelt thanks to the Physicans and staff at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs. Graveside Service will be conducted on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 3 pm in Oaklawn Park Cemetery, Sanford Fl. Rev. Bill Coffman will be officiating. Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
