Melody was born November 29, 1965 in Parkersburg, Ohio. She graduated from Seminole High School and went on to earn her Associates Degree from the University of Central Florida. She worked as a claims adjuster for Travelers Insurance. She was a member of the MFC Motorcycle Club and Just Our Soldiers Helpers. She enjoyed baking, cooking, attending concerts, and trivia.
She is survived by her life partner, Steven Thomas Elliott; children, Sarah Kaylynn Negus, Faith Amelia Negus, and Grace Margaret Negus; chosen daughters, Erica Lynn Ray and Laura Danielle Roney; grandchild, Jensen Alexander Ray, and siblings, Karla Kay Flowers, Vickie Sue Hall, and Sheila Taylor White.
A celebration of life service for Melody will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Seminole Community Church, 5070 Orange Blvd., Sanford, FL 32771, 407-324-0199
