Merrilyn June Shelton

This beautiful woman was born June 5,1929 in Hollywood, CA. The daughter of Merrill and Juanita Crockett, she moved with them to Palm Springs when she was two along with her big sister, Donna Joy Crockett Mills. She had so many friends and was always held in high regard and admired. On March 5, 1946, she married Lt. Harold Clause in a huge and lovely ceremony in Palm Springs. They had four children; Diana Merrilyn, Donald Merrill, Hal Wayne and Rodney Crawford.

She spent 22 years traveling with her military husband all over the US. She was tragically widowed in 1967. In 1968, she married Glenn Shelton. They were married 43 years until his death in 2012. She and her daughter moved to Florida in 2016. She suffered a stroke in 2009 and passed into the arms of God on October 28,2016. Her sons were blessed with opportunity of visiting with her a week before she passed.

She will always be remembered most for her loving kindness for everyone and all creatures. She was a role model to many, especially her daughter, Diana.

She was welcomed to God's kingdom by her parents, husbands, sister, and many Crockett family and Clause family members. Sure, she always knew where she'd pass to. The angels were waiting for her. Free of pain and as healthy as in youth, she surely is happy and waiting for the rest of us.
