Michael P. Epps, 63, of Sanford passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in his residence. Mike was born on January 4, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York; the son of William and Lucille Epps. He served our country in the US Army. Mike was owner-operator of a floor covering business, which his son Taylor now operates. Mike was a dedicated and knowledgeable coach to countless youth in the greater central Florida area for many years. His teaching touched many lives that will forever caring those memories and knowledge he imparted on them. He will be greatly missed. Mike is survived by his wife Sandra (Vazquez) Epps, children Hontah and Taylor Epps, and countless extended family and friends. A memorial service celebrating Mike’s life will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 1:00 in Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford, with Don Norman officiating. Military honors will also be rendered.
