Nancy Joyce Page was born on April 9, 1943, in Key West, Florida. She passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025 at the Halifax Hospice House in Orange City, Florida. She was proud to be a Cuban, a Key West “Conch” and a true Floridian who loved her island roots. In fact later in life, Nancy stayed so close to home that she rarely ventured more than ten miles from Sanford, Florida, and certainly never onto a freeway. Her world didn’t need to be big to be full.
Nancy loved bowling, and would frequent the local bowling alley. It was there that she caught the eye of a young Navy man from Idaho. His buddies warned him not to fall in love with a pretty local girl—but that is exactly what he did. All the lanes were full that day, so he asked if he could share hers. That simple question began a lifetime of love and adventure.
Nancy was often practical but humorous. She bought her casket and burial plot thirty-two years before she needed them… only to later decide she wanted to be cremated. This led to an unforgettable moment: “Who else has a credit at a funeral home?” But that was Nancy—entirely herself.
She had a sweet tooth that could rival anyone’s, with Milky Ways being her favorite. Living in an assisted living facility, she sometimes worried other residents were sneaking her candy, only for her family to discover the unopened bags hidden or empty wrappers in her own trash can. Even her candy stories were unmistakably Nancy: tender, funny, and just a little mischievous.
Nancy had a memorable dislike of birds, and with good reason. She was pecked by a rooster as a child and never forgave the species. The feeling intensified in Sanford, where neighbors owned a group of free-roaming peacocks. Two even wandered into her utility room and perched on her ironing board—uninvited guests she did not appreciate.
Through it all, Nancy’s life was shaped by love, family, humor, sweet treats, and a deep sense of home. She was tender, funny, fiercely herself, and braver than her fears. She was uniquely herself from beginning to end. After thirty-two years apart, she now joins her beloved husband, Stephen Dee Page, in the peace she long deserved.
She is survived by her children, Scott Page (Lynne) and Jennifer Page Willis (Kent). Grandchild: Tiffany Flemming, Taylor Gordon, Kendall Page, Chase Page, Kent Willis, Jr., Seth Willis (Annelise), Alea Page Willis and 8 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Park Cemetery,4991 Co Rd 46A, Lake Mary, FL 32746 at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
