Mrs. Boyd was born in Sanford, Florida on October 14, 1929 to the late William B. and Rena Mann Swaggerty. She was a lifelong resident of Sanford and a member of Westview Baptist Church. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and flowers. She was also a wonderful cook who lived her life to the fullest. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Boyd and her brothers, Herman Lewis Swaggerty and Steven Swaggerty.
Survivors include her sons, Richard “Ricky” W. (Brenda) Boyd, Randy (Maria) Boyd and Robert (Maira) Boyd; sisters, Pauline Spivey and Sara K. Myers; brother, Fred (Paulette) Swaggerty; grandchildren, Emery, Sean, Jason, Jenny, Brittany, and Ryan, and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home Oaklawn, 5000 CR 46 A , Sanford, Florida 32771. The funeral service will follow visitation at 3 pm with interment to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
