He graduated from Dover High School in 1979. Being raised in a military family, Tony decided to join the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. While serving in the Navy, Tony was chosen for a very elite and prestigious program called Enlisted to a Medical Degree Preparator Program (EMDP2) which paid for Tony to attend and graduate from the University of Virginia Pre Med and then from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland with his Doctorate, where he completed his residency and fellowship.
Tony served as a Doctor in the United States Navy for eight years. Upon honorable discharge from the Navy, he went into private practice where he served various communities in Florida from Orlando to Davenport. “Dr. Nieves was worth the wait!”
