Mrs. Norma F Pedley

Norma/Mom/Grammy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Dever “Bud” Pedley of Oviedo, FL, their children, Ron Pedley (Betsy) of Huntington Beach, CA, Susan Eissele (Bill) of Fayetteville, NC, two grandchildren, Meagan Capra (Vince) of Apex, NC and Christian Eissele (Julia) of DeBary, FL, one great-granddaughter, Sophia Hope Capra and one great-grandson due in May 2023!

Among those she’ll meet in heaven include her parents, Albert and Frieda Klim, her brother, Raymond Klim and her great-granddaughter, Emerson Grace Capra.

Norma was born on July 25, 1934 in Kingsley, PA. She met her life-long love, Bud Pedley while serving as Maid of Honor in her best friend’s wedding while Bud was the Best Man. Quite the fairy-tale romance! Bud and Norma were married on June 29, 1957 and enjoyed 65 years of love and devotion to one another.

Norma and Bud served faithfully in the churches they were involved in: St. Mark Lutheran Church in Springfield, VA, St. John Lutheran Church in Winter Park, FL and St. Luke Lutheran Church in Oviedo, FL. Norma was especially committed to serving on the Altar Guild for many years at St. John’s.

Norma was a great athlete and a fierce competitor, especially on the basketball court in her high school years and for many years on the tennis court enjoying competitive team tennis until she was well into her 70’s. Most don’t realize that her grandchildren inherited their athletic abilities and competitive spirit from their Grammy!

Norma will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, Mom and Grammy, and for her love for Jesus, her generous hospitality and giving spirit. She loved being in attendance of any and every music event of her children, watching sports like the Orlando Magic, but especially those her grandchildren were participating in. She was hands down the most vocal and loyal fan!

A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Monday, January 16, 2023 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 2021 W. State Rd 426, Oviedo, FL 32765. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to the Lutheran Haven Benevolence Fund.
