Otis Duane Buckey, USA (Retired), Sanford, FL, passed away on September 5, 2026, at Altamonte Springs, FL, after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Julia, three sons: Daniel Duane Buckey, Frazeysburg, OH, Gregory Alan Buckey, Clermont, FL, and James Edward Buckey, Los Angeles, CA., his sister, Waldine Burris, Cambridge, OH, and brother, James Moody Buckey, Byesville, OH, and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Markham Woods Presbyterian Church, Lake Mary, FL.
After 35 years of military service and retirement as the State Aviation Officer, FL National Guard, he moved to Orlando, joining Lockheed-Martin until his retirement in 2014. Arrangements by Baldwin-Fairchild, Lake Mary.
