Penelope “Penny” Metaxas, 91, of Lake Mary, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in her residence. Penny was born in Greece on July 17, 1924; the daughter of Dionysios and Marioleni Raftopoulos. She received her doctorate in dentistry, and was a dentist while in Greece. Her in the United States she and her husband owned and operated a motel. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Maitland on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00am. A committal services will take place in Oaklawn Park Cemetery in Sanford, Friday at 4pm.
