

Raymond Joshua Shedden’s (known as Josh to his family), 37, light was dimmed April 20, 2017. Ray's passing was due to an aggressive form of stomach cancer. Ray battled valiantly, but succumbed to the intense treatments and disease. Ray was born November 23, 1979 in Potsdam, New York. He is the son of Raymond and Jacquelyn Shedden. Ray graduated from Lake Mary High School in 1998, where he played trumpet in the Marching Rams band. Ray went on to get his Bachelors of Science in Economics from the University of South Florida in 2005. Ray was recognized and won honors in the Business School, going on to Colorado to compete and win nationally. Throughout his life, he was involved in numerous projects giving back to the community. Ray worked with his father assisting Habitat for Humanity building homes and volunteering with relief projects such as the devastating Hurricane Andrew. Ray was an especially loving and devoted husband and father. Ray was a hard, self-motivated worker who constantly looked for ways to improve himself and the quality of life for his family. Ray and Jenn shared an unbreakable loving bond that blossomed over 16 years. The last 8 years of wedded bliss yielded two beautiful little girls, Kennedy Marie (6) and Paige Elizabeth (3). He worked with Primerica Financial as an independent financial consultant earning a variety of financial licenses and building his business with the help of his wife Jenn. Ray was also a valued member of the Home Depot family. Raised as a man of faith, He and his family attended and were members of the First Baptist Church in Orlando. Raymond Joshua is survived by his loving wife, Jenn Sanders-Shedden, beautiful daughters Kennedy and Paige Shedden; His parents Raymond and Jacquelyn Shedden; his sisters: Sarah Roberts, Rebecca Shedden, and Rachel Shedden. He also leaves his mother and father in-law Ricky and Denise McMullen; brother and sister in-law Stephen and Elicia Sanders; brother in-law Gabe Roberts (husband to Sarah); his nephew Isaiah Roberts (son of Gabe and Sarah); his nieces Riley Kate, Olivia, and Harper Sanders (daughters of Stephen and Elicia Sanders). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Baldwin-Fairchild at Oaklawn Park in Sanford Florida. Viewing hours are set for April 22, 2017 from 4-7pm. The funeral will be held on Sunday April 23, 2017 at 12:00pm at the Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel located at 5000 County Road 46A in Sanford, Florida. Flowers can be sent to the Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel. Donations for assistance are welcome and the Go Fund Me site for Ray will remain active to assist Jenn and his two daughters.
