Rest in peace Uncle Richard, 

A kinder, more thoughtful, more caring, more loving man, you couldn't wish to meet. 

An 'uncle' in name but a grandfather by any other measure and one that I was proud and lucky to have. 

The memories of cycling over to see you and grandma as a child and settling in to watch football together are some of my fondest, (as long as I'd done my homework first of course!)

Your love and support was never ending and that is all we can ask for. It is an example you showed all of your family and will continue through the generations as a result. Nia and Tilly will hear lots about their GG Pa as they grow older.

We are so sorry for your loss of a wonderful man.  Dave will never forget moving in next door to you and Richard 18+ years ago as a bachelor.  You were both so kind to Dave and he could see in your marriage what he hoped to find some day.  You both looked out for him and were right next door as we survived a few Florida hurricanes since that time.  You saw Sharon come into Dave's life and he found that love he saw in you and Richard.  You were both there when we brought Katelyn home 9 years ago and you have both been a part of her life since she was born.

Our family will miss Richard tremendously, but please know, as you transition into your life without him, we are just next door if you need anything at all.

Wonderful Richard,

With  broken hearts we want to say  how much we miss you, your smile, your laughter and gentleness. We have fond memories of you that we'll always treasure. We can't wait to see you again when we're all home - we love you.

May Richard rest in eternal peace – he will be missed but not forgotten.  

I remember when I came to Florida for a short stay and was touched by Richard’s gentle spirit.  We had such a wonderful time, didn't we. 

Memories are so precious and we can go down memory lane any time.  When Keith and I were married we sent you our pictures and Richard took the time and patience to make us a beautiful slideshow.

I can't express how much I miss you - you were the best husband to me.

I thank you so much for the wonderful life we had for 32 years - the wonderful times we had traveling around the world together, the people we have met, the scenery and memories will always remain in my heart.

One of the greatest things overall is our relationship with God who has blessed us in every area of our lives.  Our love and unity with our family and close friends kept us strong.

I know that we will be together again in God's glorious Kingdom.
