Richard Bryant Harris Sr.

It is with profound sadness that the family of Richard Bryant Harris Sr. of Deltona, FL announce his peaceful passing on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the age of 71 after a brief battle with cancer. Richard succumbed to his illness with his loved ones by his side.

Richard will be greatly missed by his three children: Richard (Ricky) Harris Jr. (wife Jaime), Robert (Bobby) Harris(wife Nicole), and Brittney Kilian. He also leaves behind 7 grandsons-Joshua, Jaxson, Braeden, Zachary, Dylan, Noah, and Oliver. Richard is survived by his older brother Carl Harris (wife Cloann) and younger brother Keith Harris (wife Katy), 2 nieces and a nephew, along with his former wife, Pamela Harris.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Frances Harris.

Richard was born in Greenville, North Carolina and moved to Florida 50+ years ago. Richard was a Vietnam Veteran, a great father, grandpa, brother, and friend. He was the manager of Winn Dixie for many years, and after retirement had various jobs. His most rewarding job was being a caregiver for all 7 of his grandchildren. Richard was an Atlanta Braves fan and a Nascar enthusiast. He had a passion for collecting tools-from antiques to the newest in style.

A private celebration of life with Richard’s family will be held at a later date.
