Ron Gates

Ronald G. Gates, of Lake Mary, FL passed away at the age of 84 on the 11th of March 2022. Ron was a proud West Virginian, loving husband, father, grandfather, “Mayor” of his neighborhood and friend to everyone he met. Ron was born on June 15, 1937, the only son of Glen and Lela Gates. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Janet Sayre-Gates, his two children, Vicki Kirby (Danny) of Lake Mary, FL, Jon Gates of Warner Robins, GA and his two grandchildren, Tyler Kirby of Washington, DC and Kharsten Gates of Perry, GA. A visitation will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Memorial on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 6-9pm located at 5000 County Rd 46A, Sanford, FL. Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 2pm at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Memorial. A reception will be held following the service at Timacuan Country Club located at 550 Timacuan Blvd., Lake Mary, FL. In lieu of flowers we would ask that you make a donation to St. Jude Children’s hospital in Ronald’s name.
