He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, he went out of his way to call people on a regular basis and believed if someone popped into your head you should call them. He often encouraged people to pick up the phone to call others they hadn’t spoken to in a while. He loved shooting pool, playing chess, going to Florida’s natural springs especially Rock Springs and going in his boat out on the river. He loved doing home improvement projects and could build or fix about anything Debbie came up with. He loved plants, especially orchids and was on a mission to grow Debbie’s favorite hydrangeas which were the only thing he struggled to grow until just recently when he mastered it. He had an amazing sense of humor and kept that even in the hospital towards the end, he often talked like Donald Duck to entertain the littles.
Career & education wise he did many different things in his life. He completed Firefighting & EMT training and volunteered his time in the 90’s. Completed real estate school. Worked for Cardinal Industries & Mobilite for over 18 years (where he met Debbie). He did various construction, well pointing, and was proudly last employed at TRP where he was dedicated to roadway safety & infrastructure. He really loved his job though it was long days as he traveled throughout Florida, Alabama, Georgia, North & South Carolina. He applied thermoplastic pavement markings that guided and protected those traveling the roadways. He enjoyed traveling for work and often said it was like a paid vacation and thought it was funny to send Debbie photos of all the hotel pools to tease because he knew she wanted a pool. He was known for his strong work ethic and dependability. He took pride in doing everything he did.
