

Born on October 24, 1946, in Sargent Township, Douglas County, Illinois, Rovene lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service to others. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, she was a godly woman whose kindness, generosity, and compassionate heart touched everyone she met. Her unwavering faith guided her throughout her life and was evident in the way she loved and cared for her family, friends, and those in need.
Rovene shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Danny Lee Davis of Charleston, Illinois, and together they built a home filled with love and devotion. She was a loving mother to her son, Travis (Amanda) Lee Davis, and a proud grandmother to Allie (Eddie) DeMeo, 32, Colton Davis, 27, and Reese Davis, 23. She was also overjoyed to become a great-grandmother to Rowan Lee Davis, who brought her immense happiness.
She is also lovingly remembered by her younger brothers, Dave Taylor and John Taylor; her younger sister, Rachel Cassidy; her older brother, Pete Taylor; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Rovene was preceded in death by her loving mother, Helen Taylor and her father, Jackson Taylor as well as an older brother Ronnie Taylor.
Those who knew Rovene will remember her gentle spirit, selfless heart, and unwavering love for the Lord. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, or pray for someone in need. Her life was a beautiful example of grace, generosity, and steadfast faith. While her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior, hearing the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
Rovene's legacy of faith, love, and kindness will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of her family and friends
