As a young man, Salvatore met the love of his life, Ruth while living in Chicago. They were blessed with 58 years of marriage, love and family. Salvatore was a successful entrepreneur who along with his wife Ruth, started several successful businesses providing for their family.
Later in life, Salvatore adored his role as Poppy to his nine grandchildren and two great grandsons.
Meeting him in Heaven are his parents; wife, Ruth E. Armato and sisters, Dolores Armato, Connie Montelbano and Carol Swiatowski.
Left to cherish is memory are his daughters, Virginia Johansmeyer (Bob), Dolores Johnson (Tony), Ruth Armato and Melinda LaTorre (Marc); siblings, Paul Armato, Mary Principato and Stella Dolivo (Joe); brother-in-law, Tom Swiatowski; nine grandchildren, two great-grandsons as well as numerous extended family and friends.
