Sherry M Dale

Sherry Maureen Dale passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, from complications following a stroke three years ago and more recently, cancer. Sherry is survived by her beloved family, including her brother, Larry; nieces - Monica (Cole), Jennifer (Taylor), Stephanie (Postlewaite), Samantha (Ruttan) and Danielle (Dykes); six grandnieces and grandnephews; and one great-grandnephew.

Born in Victoria, Texas on September 2, 1945, to parents Harold and Marjorie, Sherry lived in and attended schools in Prentiss, Mississippi and Columbia, Tennessee. Following her graduation from Middle Tennessee State University, where she majored in both Elementary Education and Music, Sherry joined her family in Central Florida to begin a career in teaching that spanned more than 33 years. An accomplished concert pianist, she served in the music ministry at First Church of God in Eustis for many years and was also very active in community theatre.

Sherry’s funeral will be held Saturday, October 4, at Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel Funeral Home, 5000 W. County Rd 46A, in Sanford. Visitation will be held at 1:15 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
