Stuart William DeJonge, 82, of Lake Mary Florida went to be with the Lord on Monday July 6, 2026. Born on September 27, 1943 he was the son of the late William and Jeanette DeJonge. He was the loving husband for 62 years of Antonia DeJonge. After growing up in Montclair, NJ, he obtained his BS from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and spent his career in the pharmaceutical packaging industry, in various sales and management roles before striking out on his own as an independent inventor. He continued to work part time in retirement, adding to his dozens of granted patents.
He was a loving generous friend and mentor to all who knew him. He enjoyed living in Florida, cruises in many parts of the world, bringing humor even to difficult situations, and most of all spending time with family. In his younger years he also spent many hours playing golf and tennis, and rooting for the Giants and Yankees.
His legacy will live on in his wife Antonia, daughter Nancy (Mike) Keenan, son Stuart (Tracy) DeJonge, granddaughters Kristen Keenan and Dr. Kim (Sam) Keenan, sisters Grace (Don) Benkendorf and Kathy Koop, and brother Bill (Glennis) DeJonge. He was preceded in death by his son Anthony in 1975.
