Thomas M Hendricks

Thomas M. Hendricks, 79, of Oviedo passed away in his residence on Friday, March 31, 2017. Tom was born on August 24, 1937 in St. Petersburg, Florida; the son of Thomas W. and Irene C. Heiney. He married his wife Sally Stonebrook Hendricks in 1975, and they shared 42 years of marriage. He and Sally moved from Kansas City, Missouri to Oviedo, Florida in 1992. Tom worked mainly in sales, and was the owner of several business ventures in Kansas City. His hobbies were reading, close up magic playing hearts and loved to watch the Florida Gators and KC Chiefs and spend time working in his yard. Tom is survived by his wife Sally S. Hendricks of Oviedo, Florida, son Tim Hendricks and his wife Rita of Michigan, daughter Diana Gray of Texas, four grandchildren (Mohammed, Lauren, Taylor & Lillie) one great grandchild (Katherine) his sister Terri Hobson and her husband Chip of Indiana, and sister-in-law Sue Heiney of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Charles Heiney. A gathering of friends and family will take place Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford, Florida, with Memorial services beginning at 3:00pm with Rev. Claude Matthews officiating. Tom’s family suggest donations in lieu of flowers be made in his honor either to Best Friends Animal Society or the ASPCA.
