Its so surreal that your really gone, i think back to when we were little, we would tell each other everything and laugh a lot when we were together. I also remember when we built the tree house together, we were always in that tree house, there were a lot of good memories. Not a day goes by that i don't think about you, its so hard to say goodbye to you when we used to be so close. You always wanted the best for me you told me to finish school and get good grades and do the best that you can do. I've been living up to that promise, I'm gonna finish school for the both of us. We've known each other for about 9 years. - i will never forget you

Dear Robby and Spragg Family,

My name is Ashton Flynn; I went to school with Tommy at Cherry Tree for two years.  I want to share two stories that stick out in my mind; I think both stories show a glimpse of Tommy's personality and what a special person he was.

It was May 26, 2015, the last day of school.  The day had ended, we were all sitting in the lounge talking and laughing.  I looked at Tommy and noticed that he was wearing one Halloween sock and one Christmas sock. I thought that was so funny!  It made me laugh right out loud!  It made my day, and I will forever remember that and Tommy's sense of humor.  He always made me laugh!

It was last day of school before the new year, 2016; the girls were making sugar scrubs, and the guys had been making survival bracelets. Tommy was teaching the guys how to make them.  I was interested in learning how to make them too.  I asked if I could make one, so Tommy showed me how to do it.  He started a red and white bracelet teaching as he went.  Tommy left the end for me to practice and then, I was able to make a hot pink one on my own.  Even though I had made my own hot pink bracelet, he gave me the red and white bracelet too.  While he was teaching me, we talked.  Our conversation was different this time more relaxed and natural; I really enjoyed talking to him, but that day was special.

I didn't go to Cherry Tree this year, the thing I have missed most is my classmates.  I was devasted to hear about Tommy's passing; I am going to miss him a lot.

Dear Spragg Family,
I knew Tommy from my time working at Cherry Tree.  What I experienced early on was a young man with a quiet spirit and wonderful sense of humor.  He always made my daughter laugh, and anyone that can do that holds a special spot in my heart.
I am so sorry for your loss!  I can not even begin to imagine what you are going through right now.  Each time we lose a loved one or friend a little more of my heart breaks.  Not for the person who has gone home to be with our Lord, but for the people left behind.  The ones who are missing that person so much that it hurts.  The ones who would do anything for just a few more minutes to express their feelings.  My heart aches for your family and Robby.  I hope that as the days and weeks pass, as you return to life's routine, your new normal, that you will continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family, friends, and our Lord.
On of my favorite Bible passages is Ephesians 1:3 - Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all the spiritual blessings of heaven in Christ.  My prayer for each of you is that God would give you the exact spiritual blessing you need, right now, to get through each day.  That His grace fills you with healing and peace.  
Tommy was a beautiful boy; we will miss him, but he wil always be loved.  Rest in Peace in the Glorious arms of our Lord beautiful boy!
