Alexandra Michele “Alex” Jubinsky left us far too soon on May 1, 2026, at the age of 33. Alex’s smile could light up a room. She was quick-witted and quick to laugh, also to cry when moved, and equally quick to stand up against unfairness. Alex felt emotions deeply and lived her life with passion, loyalty, and intensity. Her beloved dogs, Chief and Pita, were her world.
Alex was born and raised in Huntington Beach. She grew up at the beach and was a true water baby, digging for sand crabs, swimming, and body surfing. She was a typical HB kid — playing soccer, riding bikes, and spending summers in Jr. Lifeguards.
She loved nature in all its forms—from the pines and peaks of the local mountains; to the boulders, sage, and scrub of the surrounding desert; to the woods and lush greenery of the East Coast. Santa Claus brought Alex her first dirt bike when she was nine years old, and from then on she couldn’t get enough of riding. She spent countless hours exploring the trails and washes at the Salton Sea and Dove Springs alongside her family and all the Malloy Mulisha kids. When she wasn’t on her dirt bike, she was always ready for a Jeep ride with her dad.
Alex found her professional niche at Tractor Supply Company. Beginning in 2020 as an essential worker during the pandemic, she worked her way up to Store Manager of the Lake Elsinore location. She loved her Tractor family and took immense pride in her store. She always had a soft spot for the baby chicks and eventually grew quite a flock at home, including a few chicks with special needs who may not otherwise have found a home.
Alex is survived by her parents, Michael and Debbie Jubinsky; her brother, Greg; maternal grandparents, Lou and Sharon Bonye; her aunts, Natalie Arrowood and Cary Jubinsky; and her uncles, Troy Kerber, Joel Jubinsky, and Mark Jubinsky. Her cousins — TJ, Karissa, Sarah, Jessica, Noah, Kim, and Corisa — were not only family but also lifelong friends with whom she shared an enduring bond.
Alex is greatly missed by her longtime boyfriend, Mason Gillespie, and his son, Mason Jr., who shared her love of animals, sunsets, and adventure. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Walt and Mae Jubinsky, and by her sweet dog, Hotshot.
Please remember Alex in every beautiful sunset and in the bright glow of the full moon. In her memory, her family encourages acts of kindness toward animals.
