

Santa Ana, CA: Born on February 8, 1941, in Athens, Greece and passed away in her home on September 9, 2022, after a long illness. She died peacefully in the presence of her husband of 60 years, her youngest brother, and her eldest son.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Giorgos and Venetia Koumbis, her brothers, Omiros Koumbis and Demetrios Koumbis, and sister, Antonia Christohidis.
She is survived by her spouse, George Zachary Kyriakidis; her brother, Nickos Koumbis; and her children, Kyriakos Erick Kyriakidis / Patricia Kyriakidis and Alexander Kyriakidis / Katel Kyriakidis; her grandchildren, Andrea (Andromachi) Kyriakidis, Seth Stefanos Kyriakidis, Alexander David Kyriakidis, Madeline Giorgia Kyriakidis, and Michael Andy Kyriakidis.
Andromachi (Machi) grew up in Athens, Greece and was the fourth of five children. She graduated from Girls’ Gamma High School in 1960 in Athens, Greece. She married George Kyriakidis in 1962 and they immigrated to New York City in 1965. While in New York City, she graduated from Queens College with a major in economics in 1976. After moving to the Sudan, Africa, in 1978, she taught high school Math at Comboni College in Khartoum, Sudan. She moved with her family to Santa Ana, CA in 1981, where she worked as a Deputized Buyer for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department for 20 years where she received awards for Outstanding Performance. Machi was a remarkable and resilient person, having defied death repeatedly. She was a devoted, humble, and selfless wife, mother, and grandmother. Machi and George were constant companions, a devoted couple, and she will be profoundly missed.
