On August 2, 2021, Angela Eve Candelaria at the age of 47 years old entered her enteral sleep unexpectedly and peacefully.
Angela was born at UCI Hospital on February 1, 1974 in Orange, California. She was the first born to Rosemary Candelaria and the first granddaughter and niece to the Candelaria family. Angela was deeply loved by the entire family.
Angela was an Orange County native and proud of it. She graduated from Saddle Back High School in 1992. She then pursued her career in the medical field where she thrived as an Oncologist Specialist Supervisor for Memorial Care Hospital in Laguna Hills.
Angela was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. Angela cherished the close relationship with her younger sisters, Priscilla Torres and Essie Taylor. Angela was a beloved mother to her two surviving sons, Jimmy and Joseph Latham. She started her motherhood journey at the age of 24 and loved every moment of it. She was proud of her sons and took pride in being the backbone of her family. Angela was a loving aunt to her niece Sophia Torres and Godmother to her sister Priscilla’s two youngest boys, Alexander and Abraham Torres.
Angela had a one-of-a-kind spirit and heart. Angela was an energetic soul who loved to hike at Peters Canyon, practice yoga, and often enjoyed a nice barbecue on a sunny day with family and friends. Her smile and laughter would light up a room, and her captivating spirit made everyone feel loved. Her love for music, fashion, and horror films was unmatched. Angela loved life and enjoyed every moment of it.
Angela’s vigil services were held at Fairhaven Memorial Park & Mortuary on August 24, 2021. Angela was then laid to rest on August 25, 2021, while surrounded by loving family and friends. Angela’s eternal resting place is located at Fairhaven Memorial Park.
Angela Candelaria will truly be missed by those who love her. Her family now missing a special piece of their hearts, which stayed with Angela when she was laid to rest. As family said their goodbyes, doves were released in her honor. Releasing the doves allowed her loved ones to release her spirit into the world, where her warmth will forever be felt by the sun and her gentle touch by the soft breeze.
Angela you are forever in our hearts and never a moment apart. Your memory will continue to live on until our last breath and we meet again.
If Angela could have said goodbye to her family and friends, she would say the following:
As I sit in Heaven
I’d like the memory of me
To be a happy one
I’d like to leave an afterglow
Of smiles
When life is done
I’d like to leave an echo of whispering
Softly down the way
Of happy times and laughing times
And bright sunny days
I’d like the tears of those who grieve,
To dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done
