Bertha Alvarado Sanchez "Bertie" 79 years old Born on January 18, 1938 in Santa Ana, California to Ysidro & Cloetilda Alvarado She grew up in the neighborhood of Logan and was one of 14 children. At the age of 20, she met the love of her life, Antonio Sanchez and on July 19, 1958 they married and moved to Roswell, New Mexico for a short time. Eventually they returned to Santa Ana and started their family. She had 4 children: Theresa, Victor, Tanya and David (D). She worked for the Santa Ana Unified School District as a Teacher's Aide. Ending her career at Spurgeon Jr. High after 9 years. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing. She loved to Gather with Family and friends and was always the perfect host. She loved cooking and sharing her recipes with anyone who asked. She was Especially known for her beautiful voice and was often called on to sing when a Mariachi Band was present.
