Betty (Larson) was born in Lennox, CA (Los Angeles) on September 24, 1927. She graduated from Inglewood High School in 1945 and went on to work in accounting for several companies including Bell Brand Potato Chips, Santa Fe Railway, and Century Metal Craft, where she met her future husband, Robert Millhouse.
After marrying Robert on February 3, 1950, Betty and Robert moved to Downey, CA, and after several years started their family (daughter Linda, and son Richard). After moving to Orange, CA, in 1962, Betty became active in many civic and philanthropic organizations, including Girl Scouts, PTA, Registrar of Voters, Orange Assistance League, and Tustin Area Woman’s Club. Betty was also an active member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana. Betty enjoyed many other activities including tennis, golf, sailing, and hiking. In 2001, Betty graduated to grandmother, with the arrival of Emily Millhouse.
Betty is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Millhouse, son Richard Millhouse, daughter-in-law Kelly Millhouse, and granddaughter Emily Millhouse.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana.
