Brian Patrick Zimring
July 13, 1985 – April 10, 2019
Brian Patrick Zimring, our sunshine, departed this life at age 33, on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, in Santa Ana, California.
Brian, the son of Philip Zimring and Christy Sullivan, was born July 13, 1985, in Westminster, California. He grew up in Springfield, Illinois, side by side with his brother and sisters. At Springfield High School Brian was on the wrestling and baseball teams, graduating in 2003. He earned his Geology degree at Western Illinois University in 2010 and his Juris Doctorate at Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, California in 2015 with a concentration in criminal law.
To meet Brian was to love him; if you caught his brilliant smile it was impossible not to strike up a conversation and become part of his friendship circle. He was a huge sports fan, and could be found tossing a ball around at all times, usually at or around his brother Nate. The White Sox and the Packers will never have a bigger fan. Pearl Jam and the Rolling Stones inspired him, and regardless of endless debate and exposure, he never liked the Beatles.
Brian loved to play fantasy football, bet on anything, watch scary movies, sleep in, eat mint chocolate chip ice cream and tease, roughhouse and play video games with his niece and nephews. Bella, his dog, was one of his joys. He was an artist and often captured his favorite natural wonders in pastel or watercolor.
While briefly eclipsed, his light shines forever bright in our hearts and memories. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his mother Christy Sullivan of Springfield, IL; father Philip Zimrimg of Glen Carbon, IL; brother Nathan Zimring (Candice); sisters Regan Savalla (Adam Dunne) and Jessica Savalla (John Horvath). He was a proud, fun-loving Uncle to his niece Avery and three nephews Kieran, Beckett, and Rowan. His great love of his stepfather Bill Hubbs continues with his Mom and siblings.
