

Bruce was born in Grand Island, Nebraska to Warren and Ardell Bailey. His family moved to California when he was four years old. He graduated from UCLA Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate degree. After graduation, he was drafted by the Army and served his country in Okinawa, Japan.
Bruce established a very successful professional career in law. After they met in Marina Del Rey, he married his wonderful wife, Odette
He became President and CEO of the Mitsua Corporation, a Japanese grocery chain. Under his leadership, the company grew and flourished. Even though he loved his career, his true love and passion was Jesus Christ.
He accepted Christ in 2000, after being an atheist, and began attending Hope chapel where he served on the Church Council and the Board of Elders. He helped counsel the church in legal matters. Bruce led the Wednesday morning Zoom prayer ministry as well as helped and touched countless lives in many outward and hidden ways.
Bruce’s selfless nature, unwavering courage, and utmost dedication as a Christ follower, husband, father, brother and friend reflected his deep love for Jesus and his godly character.
It was a testament to Bruce’s character and faith that as he was battling cancer, he focused his ministry on supporting those in the same fight. His steadfast calmness and depth of love for others showed through his compassion and care and even as cancer weakened him, his love gave strength to others.
He is survived by his wife Odette, son Stephen, daughter Kathryn (Katie), sister Mariel, and sisters-in-law Soheir and her husband Maher, Mervat, Laila and her husband Dryden — as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
