Our mother, Cynthia Margarite Macias Perez was born on November 12, 1956 to Ismael and Nelly Macias. She grew up on Gridley Road in Norwalk, California. She was raised around family and friends who would later become family, on that street. She attended Norwalk High School and shortly after graduation married Anthony Perez on September 6, 1974. Together they had six children.
Cynthia was quite the entrepreneur. Beginning in her teenage years she babysat. She later had an in-home daycare for 40 years. After taking cake decorating classes, she started her own business, Cynthia's Cakes and was nicknamed "Cindy Cakes" by many. She was known for her laugh, her hospitality and eagerness to lend a hand. She enjoyed planning family vacations, and annual family reunions. She enjoyed crafting and baking.
Her greatest joy in life was being a mother, but she was so fulfilled by her grandchildren, Evan, Lorenzo, Emmerick, Ezra, Alessandro and her "Nena girl" Elyse. Everything she did was motivated by creating memories, traditions and making people feel thought of. She had such an impact on so many people's lives and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by Anthony and her children, Tony, Abril, Jisela, Arielle and Alec.
