

Delila was born on January 1st, 1931 in Watts, California to Porfirio and Julia Morones. She graduated from Garden Grove High School. She was a housewife and mother, working outside the home once her children were grown.
Delila was an avid crafter and sewed clothes for her children including special occasion dresses and Halloween costumes.
She loved parades, marching bands, college football, trips to Las Vegas, word puzzle books, car chases on TV, Rod Stewart and Pitbull (yes, the singer). Most of all, she loved her family. She taught her children to make tamales to keep the family Christmas tradition alive.
She is survived by her children: Roberta and Kevin McHugh, Richard and Idalia Gonzales, Yvonne and Mike Crehan, Erlinda and Charles Figueroa. Ten Grandchildren: Paul and Andrew Chandler, Sean, Bradley and Alice Crehan, Alex and Emily Figueroa, Algarin “Rick” Gonzales, Ricky and Alyssia Gonzales. Three Great Grandchildren Kylie, Tiffany and Vegas Chandler.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Gonzales, daughter Kathleen Gail Gonzales, and son David Raul Gonzales.
A celebration of life will be held at Waverly Chapel on Sunday, March 26th. She will be placed to rest beside her husband at Riverside National Cemetery.
