Dear  Mom,
I miss you as much today as the day you passed which  was 1 year ago tomorrow.  You are on my mind so much today. I just had to come online to say good bye again before they took this website down.  And to tell you that my love for you is eternal.  I don’t hear your voice as much as I use to but that is Gods way of helping us so that our heart doesn’t keep breaking. Thank you Dolo, for being such a wonderful friend to me for the past 50 years since our girls met in Junior High. You always listened to me and made me laugh, and I will miss you so much. 

Dolo was such a nice lady. I enjoyed are Friday night Zilch games with her for over 10 years.  She always made it fun.  I will forever be grateful that I can say that this amazing lady was my friend.   I will miss her very much.  Love you Dolo!!!

Dolo (as her friends in Bunco called her)?was a warm, loving lady who we ( I) adored. She loved to laugh, Have a good time, She entertained us with many fun stories over the yrs. ( her travels w/ The Betty's, ) Stories of being a nurse & the crazy things that occured w/ her many patients! Each yr. we Bunco ladies celebrated by taking a trip, such as going to Laughlin. We went on a Mexican Cruise, We went to Lake Tahoe. I know Dolo loved these excursions. She could outlast the young ones on staying up late! For Christmas we had a special Bunco & would get a group photo of The 12! Here is one that we did when we had a pajama Bunco!!

Dearest Mom,
I miss going to church with you and buying Lotto tickets for you. I’m sorry none of them were ever big winners, but you were always a big winner with me.  My mom sends her love and prayers up to you as do I.  We Pennsylvania people showed these Californians what love is all about. Your family was the best.  You will be in my heart til we meet again.

It’s hard to find the words to express the incredible amount of gratitude I have for you and the extraordinary family you have created.  The time we shared together once or twice a month for our beauty days together are times I’ll never forget. Dear Mom,
Where do I begin the funniest memory I have is when you lived with me and Bob and I came home from work mad looking for chocolate and couldn’t find any except for chocolate frosting and gram crackers. So I grabbed the bread board from the kitchen brought my frosting and gram crackers into the living room and started making frosting sandwiches and eating them. You started laughing and asked me what I was doing and I told you this was all the chocolate I could find. Over the years I listened to all my friends complain about their mother-in-laws when I have always been lucky to have a loving caring mom like you who’s always been there no matter what. I hope you know how much I love you.

Visiting Grandma Miller was always a highlight to our trips to CA.  She had so much love for her family and always made you laugh.  I feel lucky to have been able to spend time with her over the years.  We got to go to a few Angels game and made a family trip to spring training to watch some games bbq at the hotel and swim.  She will forever be missed. 

Dear Grandma,

 I will miss all of our discussions on baseball. One of the funniest memories I have was when she came to Las Vegas to watch me play. She got there before the game started and I was warming up in the bullpen. She was looking all around for me and asked one of my teammates where I was. He pointed to the bullpen and she said “that’s not my grandson that’s a black boy”.

My favorite memory of Dolores was the way she always looked at me when we visited and say, “What are you kids up to?”  I’d smile at her and she would smile back with a look that always seemed to be thinking really hard!  I do miss her and her smile.


        Dolores was always a hoot to be around. One of my fondest memories of Dolores was when she came to live with us as a senior in high school. She really liked to watch professional wrestling and forced me and Marilyn to watch it with her. Dolores would even practice the wrestling moves on herself.  It was hilarious to see her put herself in a chock hold or in an arm bar. 
Her humor and love will be missed very much. I hope heaven is ready for her because she will have them all in stitches laughing.

Dolores Ruth Miller, my cousin, has always been very special to me.  She was always strong and loving.  She was always there for my family.  Jim & I have so many wonderful memories of our trip to Alaska--we all laughed so much!  I know Dolores is now with our Lord and Savior; however, I still miss her presence here on earth.

Not a day has gone by that I don’t miss you. I know you are happy which makes me happy. You brought so much joy to mylife and I am proud to call you my grandma. I have so many memories that I just can’t pick one. I had the privilege of sharing my room for a year and I wouldn’t of changed that for anything. Sitting here thinking about that year makes me smile because for the longest time we wonder what those marks were in the butter and come to find out the cat liked butter too. Dolores...

When Todd married Courtney, we knew she was the best daughter-in-law ever.  And we were so appreciative of the way Barb and Bill accepted Todd into the family.  But we soon realized a hidden "gem" in it all was you!  Over the years we watched in awe the enormous love and care you showed us all.  The support and encouragement to Todd and Courtney, the way you loved Lucas, Logan and Landon making each feel like they were your favorite! ( With your limitless amount of love there was actually more than enough to make each one a favorite.)  You even included our granddaughter from Idaho the same way.  It was so obvious to us what a special, "one of a kind", "God broke the mold" treasure you were.   Our prayer is that just as you touched our lives... we will continue to touch others in the same way.

Nancy and I praise God for bringing you into our family's life.  And although you will be very, very missed...there is absolutely NO WAY you could ever be forgotten!  You truly are GRANDMA GREAT.

My favorite memory was taking my family to Angels Stadium where we met Aunt Dolores and shared in an Angels victory while seeing and talking to her about life and catching up on old times. Words cannot begin to express how amazing of a grandmother you were. You knew exactly what to say or do in every situation that you encountered. As a little girl I was amazed by you and as I grew older you became an inspiration and blue print of the woman i wanted to become.   One of my favorite memories of you is how much you loved the Angels. I remember you used to always have your Angels blanket and hat. Thank you for always giving me and Mason presents every Christmas. I am very lucky to have you as my grandma. You were always so nice to me and Mason.                                    You were the best grandma in the whole wide world. I remember whenever we were there you used to say  HI YINZ! 
and I would laugh so hard. Whenever it was Easter she would give baskets filled with candies and toys. Thank you for always giving gifts to us and
inviting us to the pool. Ive always loved your house for three reasons it,s cozy, it is fun, and I feel safe. Every time we came over she was watching
some kind of game show and it was mostly Family Feud. I always heard people call you grandma great but I always thought it was grandma
grape! I'm always going to miss you grandma and I always will.

           I remember dating William for a short time before I got the pleasure of meeting  you and worrying whether or not his family would be as accepting of a woman with two kids from a previous marriage as he was. I remember it was around Thanksgiving and as I sat down with you, it was as if I had known you my whole life. You were so funny and I could tell that the love you felt for Will was something we had in common.

           One month later we arrived for Christmas and you had presents for my kids. (" To Mason and Violet From Grandma") Every year that followed, I tried to express my gratitude not only for your presents but for your presence in our lives. I remember the reception that you and Barb threw for Will and I after marrying spur of the moment and as I was standing up there in front of all of our family and friends, I thought to myself how lucky I was to marry into such a wonderful family and looking forward to you holding our daughter in just a few short months.

           My absolute favorite memory is when we took Kensington to meet you at 2 weeks old and you held her so comfortably and she didn't cry and she fell asleep so peacefully in your arms. William was so excited for you to meet her. You told us to leave and go on a date so you could babysit haha No one will ever replace your spunky spirit. You will always be truly missed and I will keep your memory alive by telling your great grandchildren about the beautiful, loving woman that you were. I won't let them forget.

Grandma,

After your funeral I sat in your room alone, a room that for most of my life always felt warm and welcoming because you were in it. Up until that moment I had worked very hard to console myself with the rationalization that you were no longer in pain, that you had moved on to a better place. I never knew how much I would miss you until I was sitting in a room that now felt completely empty because of your absence. 

I've been very fortunate in my life to be surrounded by family and friends that care deeply about me, you've always stood in my corner and have never shied away from telling me what you think about my choices in life. One of the greatest lessons you've taught me is that family must always come first, I regret not taking full advantage of the time that I had with you. You've always been a positive influence in my life. I hope to pass your kindness, strength, fierce loyalty and love to my children, I truly believe the world will be better for it (if only in a small way). 

I hope now that you can rest in peace, gone are the persistent maladies that you've battled with remarkable fortitude over the decades. You will be missed, more than I can adequately convey in words.

Dolores was an amzing woman but an even more amazing grandma. She never let a kid go without and always made everyone feel included. My first Christmas as Jr's girlfriend was kind of awkward  joining in on the holiday festivities, but as I joined the group I realized I too had a pile of presents next to Jr's and from that Christmas on I got a card just like every other grandchild. I never felt like i wasnt part of her family.  When I was pregnant with my first child I had so many questions and she had so many answers. I could call her in the middle of the night and ask anything and she would wake up an answer. And after I had the baby I had even more questions and she had even more answers.  We were even lucky enough to have her help deliver 2 of our babies. She was the best birthing coach i could have asked for and an even better coach in our lives. We already miss you endlessly  Grandma great and I will do my best to keep Judy and JR out of trouble but you know what a task that is And I promise to give the kids each  27 kisses just from you!! We love you ❤B

I have never missed someone so much in my life gram no matter how bad i was or messed up things i did in life you always were there for me and stuck up for me even if I was wrong and you knew it. You are the best women and person i have and will ever know. It still hasent set in that your gone i love you so much o ya (i seen this guy today and you know what he said he told me i lost an angel and that you were in a better place watching over me and everything will be ok i started to cry because you know who i am talking about and he has never said that before and then he hugged me .i smiled and told him you were the best women i ever known ) i love you.  Untill we meet again grandma. I will take care of these fat babies for you.æ

Although I live thousands of miles from Dolores, it as though she is a part of my family here in England. Dolores was the closest of friends with my late departed sister, Betty Myers. They met when Betty joined the nursing staff at St Joseph’s hospital.  

I first became aware of their friendship in the old-fashioned mail that passed between Betty and I in years gone by, in every letter Dolores name would be mentioned. In later years Betty and I were in touch every few days by email, Betty was always telling me about her dear friend and what they had done and what plans they were making for more good times to share together.

When I visited Betty, several times over the decades, there was always a get together with Dolores, I have fond memories of those very happy times.  During my last visit to California, 3 years ago with my daughter and son-in-law, we were made most welcome by Dolores, Barb and Bill when they invited to lunch with Betty at their wonderful home.  Sadly, this was to be our last meeting .

Dolores was a very brave lady, she fought her illness with grit and determination that few of us could match. When she was very ill, she still found the strength to visit Betty during her last days and for that I am forever grateful.  Now they are re-united.  Dolores, I am very privileged to have been your friend, rest in peace, you will be sorely missed.

Dolores was like a mother to me and my brother, Johnny.  Her heart always had room for one more.  My fondest memories were when we went to the Shen Yun play and when she let me tag along on her personal tour of Angel Stadium.  It was awesome.  I will forever be grateful to her for including me in her family.  Her 5 kids had the best mother in the world.  I dearly miss that smiling face.  I love you "Mom"

Dolores has always been my favorite cousin-my go to. I got divorced in 1973. I had two small children-no job-no money and she put her hand out to me. She said "come to California like I did-stay with me until you get on your feet" She was my rock. She will be so missed. Love you Ruth Ann
