it's been three years Mama and I miss you so much! I cannot wait for the day we meet again but until then I will love you and continue to make you proud.

Elaine and I are sitting at the back of the restaurant table of the Lathrop Jr. High School gals. We had gotten together for lunch that day. I'm on her right side and Gloria is on her left.

I just recently met Elaine 3 years ago. We attended the same Jr. High School when we were kids, but (from what I remember) we never met at that time... It wasn't until 3 years ago when certain 'ol former Lathrop Jr. High School students were recently grouped together by one of our own Classmates.  We all would meet for lunch, and that's when my relationship with Elaine began. During these years we became Facebook friends and our learning of each other and our families grew.  Elaine always seemed to find the funniest crazy posts on Facebook. I remember laughing so many times at those posts.  Before you knew it, I was communicating with her daughter Dianna too. I'd see 'grandma' in the pictures too, and other family members and friends. And then there was her great granddaughter Olivia - her pride and joy. She and Dianna were always showing the Facebook friends and family Olivia's latest video.  I so much enjoyed watching those videos too. Then, all of a sudden everything stopped when Elaine got sick and went to the hospital. Prayers started going out (including mine), but it was not to be. God decided to take her this year.  I must say that I was shocked by the suddenness of it all and still am.  I'm just so glad that Elaine had a relationship with Jesus Christ, as did her mom.  I pray that she and 'grams' are having the time of their lives in the presence of their Heavenly Father. I continue to pray for Dianna that the Holy Spirit will continue to comfort, guide, strengthen, sustain, and provide for her. My condolences go out to the entire family. God be with and strengthen you all.   

I will miss you my friend, I will miss your words of encouragement that you would post almost daily.  We were just kids when we became friends so many memories to list. I will keep your family in my prayers. Till we see each other again.

I'll always remember Elaine as a woman with confidence, a sense of humor, and deep faith.  It was plain to see, she loved life, laughter and most importantly, her family and friends. Each time I think of her, I'll see her beautiful smile in my mind's eye, knowing that she continues to smile from above.

RIP, Friend.
