Evangelina B Casas

Nació en Villa de Ramos, San Luis Potosí, México. No teniendo la oportunidad de estudios, se quedó en casa para ayudar a su mamá y a la temprana edad de 12 años comenzó a trabajar. Sus hermanos y hermanas Nicolás, Rubén, Lilia, Emma e Isabel fueron muy cercanos a ella. Con mucho orgullo llevó el nombre de su padres, Manuel Becerra y Felipa Núñez.

Evangelina B. Casas llamó Santa Ana, Ca su hogar por 49 años junto a su amado esposo Jesús R. Casas. Casados por 64 años, lograron el sueño Americano sin perder nunca sus valores y cultura Mexicana. Dedicada a su esposo, hijos y hogar, Evangelina nunca perdió un paso en trabajar y cuidar de sus obligaciones. Hacia lo necesario para avanzar a sus hijos y familia. Incluyendo su propia cenaduria donde cocinaba y vendía por las tardes y noches. El no ir a la escuela nunca significo que no era educada, al contrario, nos enseño las lecciones mas valiosas que siempre llevaremos y enseñaremos a nuestros hijos. Abrió las puertas de su corazón y de su hogar a todos que lo necesitarán. Sin haber estudiado en una escuela formal, Evangelina creo a dos maestros, un pastor, obreros e hijos que también sacrificaron por el avance de los demás. Su fe en Dios, la oración y su corazón de servir, fueron las cualidades más valiosas y brillantes. Tan grande y de gran importancia fue su fe en Dios que abrió las puertas de su casa para la alabanza y enseñanza de los caminos de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

Evangelina descansa en paz con su esposo, Jesús y su hijo, Memo.

Le sobreviven sus hijos Jesús, Imelda, Jaime, Hugo, Joe, Tony y Janet.

20 nietos y 14 bisnietos.

Born in Villa de Ramos, San Luis Potosí, México, she stayed home to help serve her mom and siblings. Her opportunities of attending school were not possible given that at the tender age of 12 she would have her first job. Her brothers and sisters, Nicolas, Ruben, Lilia, Isabel and Emma shared a close bond. With much pride she honored her parents, Manuel Becerra and Felipa Nuñez.

Evangelina B. Casas called Santa Ana, Ca her home for 49 years alongside her husband, Jesus R. Casas. Married for 64 years they attained the American dream while never losing their Mexican values and culture. Dedicated to her husband, children and home, Evangelina never missed a beat or her step in working hard to take care of her obligations. She did what was necessary to always keep her family moving forward. Cooking and selling her own delicious meals in the evenings and into late nights on her own accord in a small restaurant like set up, she was able to help provide for her family. While Evangelina did not attend school or learn to read and write, she taught us the most valuable lessons that we will always carry with us and teach our children and our children’s children. She opened the doors of her heart and home to all who needed it and to all who asked. She raised two teachers, a Pastor, laborers and children who have also sacrificed for the advancement of others. Her faith in God, prayer and heart of service were her brightest and most valued qualities. So much so, that she opened the doors of her home for the worship and study of the Word.

Evangelina rests in peace alongside her husband Jesus and her son Memo.

She is survived by her children Jesus, Imelda, Jaime, Hugo, Joe, Tony and Janet.

20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
