

George Allen Fenton was born on February 14, 1935, in Washington, PA. and passed on April 9, 2023, in Orange, CA, with Lynn at his side. From Washington he moved to Detroit, Michigan and graduated high school while living with his father. In 1951, George joined the United States Marine Corp. and served 7 years, including combat duty in the Korean War.
George brought his family to California in 1961, settling in Garden Grove. He worked for the City of Orange before joining the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in 1971, where he served as a Security Officer and a Court Services Officer. After retiring from the Sheriff's Department, George worked as a Cast Member - Ticket Taker for Disneyland for 15 years.
In 1989, George met Lynn at the Court in Santa Ana. They married in 1991 and together they spent 31 happy years - working, traveling, meeting new friends, and mostly watching the family grow.
George is survived by his wife Lynn, sons Jim Fenton and his wife Anne, Jeffrey Fenton, daughter Debbie Dobbins, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father George V. Fenton, his mother Myrtle Irene Craig Carroll, and his aunt Eleanor Craig.
Services will be held on April 20, 2023 at Fairhaven Memorial Park and Mortuary, at 11:30 a.m. Viewing will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 19th, at Fairhaven.
Donations can be made in George’s name to several of his favorite organizations including Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, Wounded Warriors, and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
