Heide Shakeri

Heide Shakeri, aged 84, passed away on March 24, 2026 in Anaheim, California. She was born on December 17, 1941 in Linz, Germany the daughter of Heinrich and Hedwig Dankworth. Heide spent her early years in Perleberg, Germany where she lived until the age of 18 before immigrating to the United States in pursuit of a better life and new opportunities. Heide earned her Associates Degree from Monterey Peninsula College where she met the love of her life, Mike Shakeri at an international student welcome dance. They were married on August 26, 1962 in Santa Clara, California. Together, they built a beautiful life and shared more than 64 years filled with love, partnership and devotion. She was a proud mother of three beautiful children, Mark, Yasmin, and Jeff - and a devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren, Tanner, Ellie, Armand and Stefan who brought her immense joy. Heide lived an active and full life. She enjoyed, skiing, fitness, swimming, tennis, reading, dancing, culture and art, as well as spending time in nature. In her youth she was honored to be a member of the German national gymnastics team, a reflection of her strength and determination. She also cherished her beloved dogs Brandy and Roco. Heide will be forever remembered for her warm spirt, kind heart and unwavering support of those she loved. Her presence brought comfort and joy to her family and friends and her legacy of love will endure in all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband Mike, her children Mark, Yassi and Jeff and grandchildren Tanner, Ellie, Armand and Stefan.
