Helen Janice Tiano

Helen Janice Tiano, 87 of Buena Park, CA, passed away on December 11, 2020. She was born in Robertson, IA on July 14, 1933. Helen graduated from Iowa Falls High School and received her diploma. She married Raymond Surls on December 25, 1954. Then later married John Tiano in 1965. Helen worked a Embassador Building and Maintenance for a number of years and then went on to a career at State Compensation Insurance Fund where she became a payroll auditor, retiring in 2001. She was a volunteer for The Friends of the Library of St. Irenaeus Church and had a passion for reading, sewing, shopping, crocheting, gardening and drawing.

She is survived by her children; Pamela Pearson, Steven Surls, Brian Surls, Robert Tiano, Theresa Heroux, and Joseph Tiano, grandchildren; Jeanette Chappell, Alicia Lewis, Maria Chappell, Megan Surls, Hollie Surls, Naomi Surls, Christopher Platt, Julian Tiano, Chloe Heroux, Haley Heroux, Vincent Heroux, Samantha Tiano, Dominic Tiano, and great-grandchildren; Miriam, Leah, John, Audrey, Jude and Joshua Chappell; Elijah, Kateri, Bernadette, Isaiah, Josef,
