Henry T. Villagrana

Henry was born on December 21, 1959 in Pueblo, Colorado to Jack and Angelina (Rivera) Villagrana. He moved to California and met his eternal love while in high school. On July 12, 1978, Henry married Elizabeth Gonzales. They raised five sons and three daughters.

Henry worked as a Transportation General Foreman for the Union Pacific Railroad for over 20 years. When he wasn’t working, you would find Henry immersed in his favorite pastime, the lowriding industry. Early on in his lowriding career, “Indio”, as he notoriously was known as, formed a brotherhood with Ruben, Efrain, and David Lopez of Red’s Hydraulics where they took the lowriding world by storm. They traveled the world together, winning numerous 1st place championships changing the course of lowriding forever. He then became a member of the SouthSide Car Club. He loved working on cars and graciously passed on his knowledge, passion, and skill to those who were privileged to learn from him. He always put his entire being in everything he did, was kind and welcoming to those who he encountered, and always thought of others before himself. Henry’s most prized accomplishment was his family. He cherished family dinners and looked forward to spending time with his twelve grandchildren. Making memories with his family was his main priority.

Henry was preceded in death by his father, Jack, mother, Angelina, sister, Natalie Villagrana-Medina, and brother, Simon Villagrana. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth, his eight children, son and daughter-in-laws, Jaclyn Villagrana, Rita Villagrana and Michael Hernandez, Michael Villagrana and Kay Hattori, Vincent Villagrana, Elizabeth Villagrana, Salvador Villagrana, Tomas Villagrana, and Henry Villagrana Jr and Ashley Quinones, his twelve grandchildren, Gabriel Cotton, Cassandra Cotton, Caprice Hernandez, Elizabeth Villagrana, Jessie Cotton, Joaquin Hernandez, Zyanya Villagrana, Alberina Quinones, Cash Quinones, Chloe Vanschoelandt, Adrian Perez, and David Gonzalez, and his two nephews, Anthony Santana and Simon Villagrana.
