Iona Grace Waggoner

Iona was born in Osakis, Minnesota and settled in Waukegan, Illinois before moving to Garden Grove, California in 1954. During her life she also lived in Anaheim, Yorba Linda, San Clemente, Santa Ana, Brea and Villa Park. She was the daughter of Earl O. and Myrtie A. Naden, and sister of Dale and Jay Naden of Zion, Illinois. A Homemaker most of her life, she also worked in her brother’s grocery store and was a switchboard operator in Zion during WWII. She attended school in Waukegan, Illinois and was married to Eugene F. Cook also of Waukegan. Together they had daughter Marsha Ann Cook. Widowed in 1953, Iona moved to So. California and married Ted Tracy Waggoner, father of Kathryn Joyce Waggoner. Together they had a son, John Tracy Waggoner. Ted was a musician and original Cast Member at Disneyland for over 30 years. Iona was active in the Disneyland Golden Ears retirement club and Christ Church Unity in Anaheim. Iona leaves her 3 children, 6 grandchildren (Scott Larouche (predeceased), Chris Schwartze, John Schwartze, Ryan Schwartze, Jenna Waggoner and Matthew Waggoner) and 6 great-grandchildren (Adrian Lepe, Breanne Figueroa-Colton, Ian Schwartze, Carson Schwartze, Dylan Larouche and Lillian Begen). A memorial service will be held October 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church Unity in Anaheim. Burial at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana will be private.
