Ismael “Ish” Zamora, 57, of Santa Ana, California, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 10, 1968, in Santa Ana, California, Ish was the beloved husband of Donna Zamora for 32 years, the devoted father of Matthew Zamora, and the proud grandfather of nearly two-year-old Isabella Zamora. He was one of eleven brothers and sisters, along with two step-siblings, and deeply cherished his large family.
Ish lived a life defined by kindness, integrity, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He worked as a glazier for more than 20 years, where he was respected for his skill, strong work ethic, and generosity toward others. Later, he and his wife proudly owned and operated a Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise for approximately 14 years. He took great pride in the business, ensuring that every bundt cake was baked to perfection.
Outside of work, Ish found joy in boating at Lake Mead, camping in his motorhome, tending to his yard and home, hosting barbecue gatherings with his brothers and sisters, and vacationing in Mexico. He loved cooking and truly enjoyed good food, especially when shared with family and friends. He also enjoyed working out and staying fit.
Ish had a lifelong passion for vintage trucks and always dreamed of owning one. Less than a year before his passing, he proudly fulfilled that dream when he purchased his own vintage truck — something that brought him tremendous joy and pride.
His best buddy was his beloved dog, Toon, and every morning, rain or shine, he faithfully took Toon on their daily walks.
Ish never missed an opportunity to share a laugh, lend a helping hand, or offer wise advice. He will be remembered for his warm smile, gentle spirit, and the way he made everyone feel valued and welcomed. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his wife, son, granddaughter, siblings, extended family, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
A Memorial Service will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary in the Waverley Chapel, located at 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705, on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. This to be immediately followed by a Graveside Service at the Garden of Reflections lawn at the same location, and then a Reception in the Gallery located at Fairhaven as well.
