

Jim was raised primarily in Willow Springs, Missouri until moving to Inglewood, California in his late high school years. He met his wife, Jonnie, at a bowling alley and they both quickly fell in love.
He wanted to be his own boss and started his printing business, Hoover Printing & Lithography, in 1964 which is still run today by his son, Rod Hoover. Jim enjoyed water-skiing, snow-skiing and motorcycle riding with his family and friends. He was known as a loving, kind hearted, generous man who truly enjoyed people.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Keli Sindelar (John), Romy Hayes (Chip) and Rod Hoover (Kathy) as well as his grandchildren: Witni, Meghen, Chelsea, AJ and Justin; great-grandchildren: Travis, Nicholas, Halen, David, Savannah and Jaxon; sister, Sue Peters (Bernie) and numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Jonnie Hoover; sister, Shirley Engstrom and his parents: Ethel and Howard Hoover.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Church of Santa Ana, 1010 N. Tustin Ave., Santa Ana, CA on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 11 am.
