My condolences to Jim's family. Over the past 25 years we shared many wonderful dinners with Jim and Peter. Always the perfect host. Always the most entertaining guest.
Once, when he lived in Carmel, off Junipero, he invited us for dinner, deep fried chicken, which arrived at table looking crisp and delicious. Unfortunately it was raw inside. Jim ordered us back to the fire, removed the plates and 30 minutes later we had the meal he had planned! On our next occasion he made the most outstanding short ribs! Still have, and use the recipe.
Rest in Peace Jim. I like to think you are somewhere with Peter, and other loved ones, cooking up a storm!

Jim’s dedication and generosity to Carmel Presbyterian Church has left a lasting impression on me and many others who were fortunate enough to know him. I know he is savoring God’s peace and smiling down upon us. Your CPC family will miss you greatly.

I feel privileged to have known Jim! We worshipped together at Carmel Presbyterian Church for many years and although he will be missed, rest assured he is with our Heavenly Father now. May you feel God’s peace and blessings as you move through the loss! 🙏💗

I worked with Jim Valentine at CVM he was a very caring person. I will always remember him comming into my office to give me a clipping that was in the Monterey Herald of my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary he said "does this handsome couple belong to you? , then he said I looked just like my Mother. He was always kind like that even giving me my own schedule to work when my Mother -in- Law got sick, I will miss him and I send my sincere condolences to his family. God Bless you Mr Valentine
