I Dated Jeanne when we were in high school. She was such a great person to be with. Always had the biggest smile. We had some great time together. The look on her face when I told her I was going to wear a pink tux to the prom with her. She laughed and said I dare you. I wore it And she loved it. Rest In Peace Jeanne. You will be missed dearly

I barely remembered Jeanne from High School, and hadn’t seen her in years. Then six months ago, Rose reintroduced us, then started riding with her in the Back Bay.

2019 had been very stressful, and I desperately required some kind of mental and physical outlet... riding for hours with Jeanne, was just what I needed.

Couple times a week, I couldn’t wait to jump on Forest or Sawyer, explore the Back Bay, while listening to her entertaining stories. I loved her passion, zest for life and a unique “Jeanne” kind of feisty spirit.

Thank you Jeanne... for the thrill of riding again, teaching me to relax and enjoy the moment, pushing me beyond my comfort zone, making me laugh with all your crazy adventures and for being you!

I miss you terribly, but will forever have your wonderful smile, laughter, and spirit in my heart. RIP cutie.

Love, Karin Helfrich

Our hearts break for jeanne! She was a dear friend for over 25 years and an encyclopedia of all equine knowledge... she gave as good as she got...if anyone needed special “intel” on a new issue with our 4 legged family members..... Jeanne was our first and last call ...! She usually had all the answers.... but if she didn’t, she’d help us find the answer!
She was a generous spirit, and shared her gift with our little girls! Both of my daughters learned under Jeanne, and her “student teacher” Dana Nichole Dunning, they helped form my beautiful 21 year old daughter Emma.
I could never thank Jeanne enough!
Countless trips camping and out to our place in Norco ... brought me so much closer to her....
I only wish she could have come up to visit at our new ranch in Northern Nevada next year .... like we talked about !

Miss you wild woman😘🍷🎊🙏🏼

Jeanne and I became friends through the Swedish community. We even took Swedish classes together. We traveled, and partied and laughed a lot. Her stories always had us in stitches.

Love Linda ❤

I heard the news just last week and I am still so saddened with her passing. Jeanne definitely was a fixture throughout the years in the Santa Ana Heights area, I was always happy to see her coming from the back bay on her horse, sometimes with Ponies and the last few times working with young riders. She always Had a wave and a Huge Smile, she clearly loved her life. She will be missed and remembered as such a bright light. Prayers to her Sisters, Brother and all her Family that they find comfort knowing she was loved by so many. RIP sweet Jeanne ❤️

Our families have been friends and neighbors for more than 50-years. You have been iconic in our Upper Newport Bay neighborhood and a powerful voice representing the preservation of the equestrian lifestyle. Your efforts have helped to keep the neighborhood unique, while preserving its tradition of equestrian ownership.

Fiercely independent, you could strike out on your own and go horse camping solo in the mountains... yet, you could share fun and humor with your friends. You have also traveled the world and experienced life to the fullest.

Your visits to my desert home were joyous and you always enjoyed a passion for exploring new horizons.

Rest in Peace Jeanne and walk with the angels.
