It is with great sadness that the family of Sgt. Jeffrey L. Diamond, JD (Ret.), 55, announces his passing in April 2021. Jeff heroically and successfully battled leukemia for many years, but eventually succumbed to the effects of those efforts when his heart gave out. Jeff grew up in Orange, CA and graduated from UC Irvine with degrees in Computer Science and Economics. He served as a sergeant in Army Intelligence, stationed in Germany.
After retiring from the military, Jeff went on to become a Special Agent for the California Dept of Justice, until he retired in 2020. During that time, he earned his Juris Doctorate degree, and undertook pro bono work in his free time. Jeff had a passion for cycling, and clocked many miles biking across six states and two Canadian provinces.
He learned to read, write and speak Korean, was a huge ice hockey fan, and was always up for a good burger and craft beer. Jeff will be greatly missed by his father Bliss, brother Greg, sister Jamie, brother-in-law Florin, and niece and nephews Brittany, Jake and Kyle. He was predeceased by his mother, Lorraine. Jeff, you will forever be in our hearts, and your courage, strength and generosity will always serve as our inspiration.
