With great sadness, we are sharing the passing of Mr. John Acuña, beloved husband, father, friend, and counselor, with Santa Ana College's Veteran's Resource Center, Santa Ana High School, Spurgeon Intermediate School, and Santa Ana Saint, class of 1963.
John was larger than life and deeply committed to the Santa Ana and Orange County communities in many ways. He was a Founding Board Member for High School Inc. at Valley High School. A veteran of the U.S. Army, John helped create Santa Ana College's Veteran's Resource Center, devoted to assisting veterans with their transition from military service to civilian careers after his first retirement. John was also a valued member of the Orange County Wheelmen, providing critical assistance during long-distance events and coordinating the Christmas Bike Build for SOS Adopt-A-Family, providing 75+ brand-new bicycles to the children of Santa Ana every year. He was a man who lived his faith in service to others.
