Judy Ann Buffin Edge

Judy Ann (Burks) Edge, age 77 of Santa Ana, California, died February 28, 2022. Judy was born September 17, 1944 in Gorman, Texas and raised on a farm in Comanche, Texas. She was a 1963 graduate of Comanche High School where she was drum majorette and won the Miss Comanche beauty contest. She attended Southwest Texas State University and worked at the Austin State Board of Insurance before moving to California in January 1967. She worked for Wells Fargo Bank for many years where she was a branch manager and vice president.

Judy married Victor Edge April 26, 1980. She and her husband were very active in republican party politics as well as their local Sand Pointe Neighborhood Association. Judy was member and treasurer of the Balboa Bay Republican Women, member and treasurer of Orange County Republican Women, and a member of the Orange County Republican Central Committee. She was an alternate delegate to the 1996 Republican National Convention in San Diego, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents John Hayes and Julia McElroy Burks, husband Victor Edge, and brother Charles Burks. She is survived by nieces Dana Burks of Austin, Texas and Melissa Burks of Comanche, Texas, numerous stepchildren and grandchildren.
