Julie Marie Mercado

Julie Marie Mercado was born August 16, 1940 in Downey, CA. She spent her adolescence between Texas and Mexico, living with her godmother, before returning to California and attending Fullerton High School.

Julie was a woman who could tell you exactly what she thought, and usually did. She was sassy and spirited, but beneath her strong personality was love for the people around her. Her home was filled with food and warmth; if you were visiting, you were being fed & never leaving hungry. She enjoyed shopping, happy hour with her gang, and a good Cadillac margarita. She loved to have a good time and knew how to make memories wherever she went.

Julie’s faith was also an important part of her life. She was regularly involved with Our Lady of the Desert Catholic Church and deeply cherished the friendships and fellowship she found through her prayer group.

Julie joined her daughter Anna & husband Joaquin in eternal rest on August 16, 2026. She leaves behind her 3 sons, Jack, Aaron, & Bryan, her grandchildren Breanna, Alicia, Carlos, Erika, Quinten, Daniel, & Aryn and her great grandchildren Alexa, Izaiah, Izella & Iylah.

Visitation will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705, US, on September 3, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will take place at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705, US, on September 3, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
