Known affectionately as “the Lucille Ball of Hawthorne,” Lorraine had a personality that was impossible to forget. She brought warmth and humor wherever she went, and those who knew her will remember not only her generous heart, but the unmistakable spark that made her uniquely Lorraine.

Lorraine was a deeply loving and generous woman who had a gift for making people feel cared for. She found joy in creating beautiful things with her hands, especially through knitting, crocheting, and crafting. The things she made were more than handmade treasures—they were expressions of love, given freely to the people who mattered to her.

And then there was Lorraine’s style. She was often complimented on her jewelry, her clothes, her shoes, her purses, and, of course, her hair. She knew how to put herself together, and she carried herself with a sense of individuality and flair that was entirely her own.

At the center of Lorraine’s life was her faith. She was a follower of Jesus, and her relationship with Him was an important part of who she was. Her faith was woven into the life she lived and the love she gave to others.

Lorraine leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward: her beloved daughter and son-in-law, her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, her stepson and his family, along with extended family and dear friends who were blessed to know and love her.

Her absence will be deeply felt. There will be an empty place where Lorraine’s laughter, generosity, creativity, and unmistakable presence once were. But there will also be countless memories—a handmade treasure, a perfectly chosen accessory, a familiar smile, a funny story, and all the little moments that made having Lorraine in your life such a gift.

After 98 remarkable years, Lorraine has left this earthly life, but the love she gave will remain.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
