

Manuelita Maria Valenzuela Rosas, 81, passed away on March 11, 2021 in Santa Ana, California after a long illness, surrounded by family, daughters and grandchildren. She was born on January 1, 1941 in Nacozari, Sonora, Mexico to Alfonso Valenzuela and Maria Luisa Rosas.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, her 4 brothers Ramon. Adalberto, Rafael, and Alfonso Valenzuela Rosas and her sister Alfonsina Valenzuela Rosas and her great-grandson, Justin Strutzel.
Manuelita is survived by her children Concepcion Flores (Hugo) of Garden Grove, CA, Ernesto Lopez Valenzuela (Imelda) of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, David Lopez (Marie) of Friendswood, TX, Maria Leonor Sweat (David) of Stansbury Park, UT, Maria Lourdes Paniagua (Pablo) of Santa Ana, CA, Maria Antonieta Lopez (Raul) of West Valley City, UT and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Manuelita was well known by her kindness and friendliness and humility. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. She served as a missionary in the Texas San Antonio Mission (1991-92). She was always helping others and a listener to her family, friends, neighbors and strangers. She had a great love for nature and for flowers, especially roses. She was an excellent cook and an avid reader. She had a talent for sketching, knitting, crochet, and singing. Her family was the center of her life and brought her joy. She will be dearly missed by her children and all relatives. Even though she is gone to join her Savior, we have the assurance that we will see her again.
