If my Abuelota loved you, you knew it; she loved without reservation.

My nana was loved by so many people and she will be missed. 

I will always cherish the times I just sat with Nana and talked. We talk about everything . Topics ranging from the gospel to her childhood life. I loved learning about her and how see viewed the world. I loved watching her smile as she talked about all of her dreams for her children and gandbabies  and all of the accomplishments she realized. What I loved about Nana was that Nana always had something to say. She didn’t care if it would hurt your feelings. She would just say it. It was apart of her charm. Her thoughts and advice, although unsolicited at times, always  came from the heart. She just wanted all of her family to be happy. She wanted them all  to reach their potential and to live their best lives. I will forever be in her debt for taking care of me as a baby. And for allowing me to tag along with her everywhere.  And for doing my hair in funky hair do’s that would make me cry.  And I will miss all the times she let me do her hair and make up when she had parties to go to. And ultimately for extending her arms and love to me well into my adult life.  She will always be my second mom. I love you Nana and I can’t wait to see you in all of your glory. 

As a humble  daughter of God Manuelita leaves a legacy of love and faith behind. She bore one another’s burdens, mourned with those that mourned; gave comfort to those that stood in need of comfort, and stood as witnesses of God and Christ at all times and in all things, and in all places even until death. She was a light to the world, a true disciple of Christ.

Dear Mother,
I am back visiting California to visit with you. Although this time we will not go to see the blue beautiful ocean, eat shrimp tacos at Los Rubios, I still feel your presence around me. Madre, I’m very thankful that you’re my mother. You always taught me with your example. Your love kindness, and positive attitude will never be forgotten. I am glad that you lived a long life, and yes we are sad that you have passed away, but we know that you’re no longer in pain, and you will no visit hospitals anymore. Madre, you are now free to go places that you always wanted to visit. Mamá, we are okay, go with your parents and enjoy time with them, and show them the great Pacific Ocean. “ I have learned that grief is the price we pay for loving someone-and that price is worth it”

We will always remember our beautiful mother. She did not leave any riches or material things. But left us many memories of love that are more valuable than anything else. Her company, comfort, teachings, and many memorable moments. You will always be in our hearts forever. Te amo mamá 

Manuelita was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She loved her family unconditionally.  She continually thought of others---if she received an unexpected blessing, she immediately shared it with someone else.  She has an amazing faith in God and knows that her redeemer lives.  She was ready to return to her heavenly home.

"Do not watch the petals fall from the rose with sadness, know that, like life, things sometimes must fade, before they can bloom again."

I ‘m very great full to have my mother at home and able to care for her was a blessing for me; I will miss you every day; but I know you will be close to me always.  I will treasure every moment we spent together. Thank you for everything and I love you very much.
